I-ACT'S "TANGGAL BULOK, TANGGAL USOK" CAMPAIGN

In line with the current administration's directive to take out public transport that are not roadworthy, the government is intensifying its campaign that will further ensure the roadworthiness of the motor vehicles.

The Inter-Agency Council on Traffic or I-ACT is continuing with the "Tanggal Bulok, Tanggal Usok" Campaign wherein all public transport that are no longer road worthy are being stopped being issued a subpoena for them to undergo the Motor Vehicle Inspection System.

According to the Land Transportation Office, as one of the members of the I-ACT, their mandate is to inspect vehicles' defective parts and accessories, as well as to check if these motor vehicles are complying with the Clean Air Act.

The I-ACT says that the failure to pass the inspection test will result in the suspension of the franchises until they pass the said exam.

These projects are to ensure the safety and convenience of the commuters. Also according to the government, these initiatives are results of the cooperation between various traffic enforcement units of Metro Manila.
