Skyway's Holiday Preparations
Yearly, the holiday season is expected to be the busiest time of the year not only for the commuters but also for the government. With that, officials from the country's traffic management agencies are likewise busy preparing for the said approaching season. Skyway O&M Corporation says that they have been preparing the expressways for the holiday season. The agency adds that they are already implementing rules and safety measures along Skyway, SLEX, and Star Tollways. According to Skyway O&M Corp., the safety measures include imposed speed limits for the motorists to follow to avoid accidents. In case of road crashes and other incidents, the agency says that there will be ambulatory services as well as towing services in the area. Additionally, the agency has implemented the motor vehicle inspection system wherein they inspect vans, heavy trucks, and buses to ensure their road-worthiness to travel along the expressways. Moreover, patrol vehicles are also in the area 24/7. To further ensure the smooth travel and the safety of the motorists, Skyway O&M Corp. says that the road surface will be in top-shape condition. The agency reminds the motoring public to plan out their travels during the holiday season, to prepare exact amount for the toll gates, and to follow the rules.
