Metro Pacific Group is fast-tracking the construction of the Cavite-Laguna
Expressway (CALAX) to meet its target for completion by the end of the
year.
MPCALA Holdings Inc. reports that the Governor's Drive Interchange, a key
segment of the expressway, is nearing 40% completion, with expectations to
finish it in the latter half of the year.
MPCALA plans to complete the entire CALAX alignment by 2025.
To date, 31% of the Kawit Interchange and nearly 22% of the Open Canal
Interchange have been completed.
The full tollway spans 44.58 kilometers and will include several
interchanges, providing better connectivity to destinations, including the
tourist hotspot of Tagaytay.
The completion of CALAX will ease traffic congestion and improve
connectivity between Laguna and Cavite, making travel from Metro Manila to
the southern parts of Luzon faster and more convenient.
