The Department of Transportation has held groundbreaking rites for
resettlement sites for Laguna and Quezon residents to be affected by a
Philippine National Railway project.
Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Brian Raymund Yamsuan said this is a sure sign
that the administration of President Bongbong Marcos remains committed to
reviving the Bicol Express.
In a press statement, Representative Yamsuan said President Marcos is bent
on reviving and modernizing the Bicol Express as he had promised Bicolanos.
The president also ensured that residents affected by the project would get
to resettle in livable communities, Yamsuan added.
Earlier, the DOTr broke ground for resettlement sites in San Pablo City in
Laguna and in Tiaong, Candelaria, Sariaya, and Pagbilao in Quezon province.
