New Laguna LTO Extension Office Opened
Motor vehicle owners in the Pagsanjan area in Laguna had always had to go
to the Land Transportation Office's (LTO) district office in Calamba to
renew their certificates of registration.
Now, they have a nearer option. The LTO has opened a new extension office
at the Areza Town Center in Pagsanjan.
Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade led the formal
opening of the LTO Pagsanjan Extension Office.
In opening this, Secretary Tugade said it is his policy to bring LTO closer
to the people.
Safety is also the paramount objective of the DOTr, he said.
With the establishment of the new office, motorists would no longer have to
travel to the LTO Calamba Office for vehicle inspection, registration or
renewal of registration.
During the inauguration, Secretary Tugade also reminded LTO officials and
personnel to remain true to their oath of good governance.
He said corruption should have no place in government and public service.
The LTO should be commended for continuing to open satellite offices in
outlying areas to better serve the motorists and motor vehicle owners.
