Common Station Groundbreaking
There is a new development on one of the significant project under the
Build Build Build Program of the Duterte administration. We are referring
to the Common Station project of the Department of Transportation or DOTr.
The Department of Transportation or DOTr recently held a groundbreaking
ceremony for the construction of the Common Station, a major transportation
infrastructure project under the Build BuildBuild Program of the current
administration.
According to the DOTr, the Common Station, which will cover approximately
13,700 square meters of concourse area, will be built between SM North EDSA
and Trinoma.
The department says that the Common Station's project cost of P2.8 billion
will go into building part of the more spacious concourse area, which is
needed to due to the large increase in ridership traffic.
The project will also deliver dual tracks for all LRT-1, MRT-3, and MRT-7
for increased operational efficiency.
The DOTr adds that the Common Station will service road-based PUVs.
Many are looking forward for the completion of Common Station project for
it will be easier and accessible for motorists and train riders to hop from
one train to another.
