Toll Regulatory Board Updates
The country's expressways and toll ways are vital to the mass
transportation system. The Toll Regulatory Board issued some updates on the
latest projects and toll fees pending petitions.
The Toll Regulatory Board or TRB says that there are pending petitions from
major expressways in the country such as NLEX, SCTEX, and CAVITEX for a
toll hike.
The TRB reports that the 28km widening project in NLEX that covers Bulacan
and Pampanga areas has been completed. The agency also says that there are
more projects in the pipeline that they have approved of.
MNTC or the Manila North Tollways Corporation, operator of NLEX and SCTEX
is upgrading their Electronic Toll Collection System, but the agency
proposes to use an inter operable system for all toll ways.
The agency added that there are more future plans for different areas in
the country's expressways and toll ways.
Looks like there's going to be less toll way hassle for every road user, in
and out of the metro.
